News and Announcements

Hall Middle School Temporary Closing - November 18-20, 2020

Dear Hall Middle School Families -

I am writing to notify families that an individual at Hall Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. Our records show this individual had close contact with a significant number of students and staff at our campus yesterday.

Out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of our students and staff, Hall Middle School will temporarily close effective today so that we can deep clean the campus.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. We understand this decision may pose a hardship for families. The campus will remain open during normal school hours today and lunch will be served. Any families who wish to pick up their child may do so after 11:00 am today.

Face-to-face learning will resume on Monday, November 30, 2020. Students will begin learning from home beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Students will receive a packet of work in the four core subject areas (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) today. These assignments will not require the use of any technology. Assignments will be due on Monday, November 30th.

During our temporary closing, the Hall Middle School Kanga Care Clinic will be available to students and staff. Please monitor your child’s health and contact your primary care physician if they develop symptoms, or contact Hall Middle School at 817-598-2822 to schedule an appointment at our Kanga Care Clinic.

Child Nutrition will also be distributing meals for three days to families of Hall Middle School students on Wednesday, November 18th. Families may pick up meals at the front entrance of Curtis Elementary between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. Curtis Elementary is located at 501 W. Russell Street.

Please know the decision to temporarily close our campus was not made lightly, but was made in consideration of the health and safety of our students and staff.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
